The Brandeis Libraries is a member of the Boston Library Consortium (BLC), this is comprised of many academic and research institutions in the greater Boston and New England area.
Brandeis University students, faculty, and staff may access and borrow books and other materials from BLC institutions in person as long as they present a valid BLC borrowing card and a Brandeis ID.
The institutions that you can borrow from are:
NEW! Brandeis students, faculty, or staff can now use their Brandeis ID to borrow materials at Boston University, Boston College, and Northeastern University without a BLC Consortium Card.
It is a good idea to check before visiting another BLC library, in case there are special opening hours or material use restrictions that you need to be aware of. Some libraries have restricted access during certain periods such as exams, check before you go!
Getting a BLC card is easy! Apply for a BLC card at the Information and Borrowing Desk.
You can visit another library today! This is very useful if you need something in a hurry, or if you wish to browse the collections of other libraries.
