As we head into the fall semester,  Brandeis Library Resource Sharing shares some guidance about the types of materials that they can get for patrons, and examples of the types of materials they are not able to get.

Resource Sharing can request copies of chapters from books that Brandeis Library does not have on reserve. Due to copyright, you must limit these requests to two chapters of any book.

Resource Sharing can request physical copies of course books that were not published solely to be textbooks. We cannot guarantee that we’ll be able to get them, but we’ll try our best!

Resource Sharing cannot scan chapters from books that are on course reserve. Those books are available for your use - please make use of them.

Resource Sharing cannot get physical copies of books that were published solely to function as textbooks. These books are on reserve for folks at other libraries, just as ours are on reserve for you here!
