QGIS is a free, open source GIS that's available for Mac, Windows, and Linux. We recommend that you download QGIS 3.28.8 Firenze, the latest long-term release (LTR) version of the software.
QGIS Support at Brandeis Library
Brandeis Library provides multiple forms of instruction and research support for QGIS.
Faculty can request QGIS instruction session(s) for their courses. This can be a general QGIS workshop with sample data or one tailored to a specific course assignment or learning outcome. Contact our GIS Librarian (contact info in profile box) if you would like to schedule QGIS instruction sessions for your course.
Brandeis students, faculty, and staff can meet with our GIS Librarian for instruction and research support for learning QGIS. We offer individual and small group appointments in-person and via Zoom.
