StoryMaps: Design a Dynamic and Spatially-Driven Narrative

Overview

This guide is intended for students and faculty who want to use StoryMaps to transform their research into a visually compelling, dynamic narrative using ArcGIS StoryMaps. StoryMaps is all about enhancing readers' experiences via hypermedia. You can connect your text to interactive maps, images, and videos.

This guide provides a sample workflow for beginners: where to find comparanda, which tutorials to complete and when, and how to develop a project outline. For troubleshooting help, please contact Natalie Susmann (Digital Literacy Specialist) or Alex Willett (Geospatial Librarian). Detailed instructions about setting up your StoryMap account and troubleshooting common errors are on the library's main GIS libguide, available here.
