Welcome!

Welcome to the library research guide for  Asian Studies. This guide presents a selective list of basic electronic resources necessary for undertaking research projects in the fields of East Asian Studies and South Asian Studies, as well as some free web sites for learning the Chinese and Japanese languages. Note that some sources cover a broad range of Asian studies, including history, economics, politics, social sciences, literature and arts, while others are more limited in scope. There may be other specialized resources appropriate for your research -- please contact the Asian Studies Liaison for additional assistance.

Please feel free to contact Jen Giordano, library liaison for East Asian Studies and South Asian Studies, with any questions.

You can also:

  • stop by the Research Help Center on Level 1 of Goldfarb Library, Monday-Thursday from 11am-8pm and Fridays 11am-5pm during the Fall & Spring semesters.
  • chat with a librarian online Monday-Thursday from 11am-8pm and Fridays 11am-5pm.
