Welcome!

Welcome to the library research guide for UWS 19A: Advertising in Post-WW II America. This guide includes recommended resources, as well as tips for effective research. Use the menu options on the left to explore suggested resources.

The Library knows that there are extra challenges to conducting research during a pandemic. We're offering a number of services to help out during this time:

  • Contactless lockers in Usdan!
  • Paging service - we’ll pull most things from the stacks for pickup
  • Scan on Demand - get some sections or chapters of a book emailed to you as a PDF.
  • Interlibrary loan - if we don’t have it, we’ll ask another library to send it
  • Research Help chat service - Use the yellow slideout button on the right side of library webpages.

Please feel free to contact Laura Hibbler (lhibbler@brandeis.edu), library liaison for history, with any questions. Ask questions at any stage of your research process:

  • How do I choose or narrow a research topic?
  • How do I find sources?
  • How do track down sources that are hard to find?
  • How do I cite my sources?
