OCLC Reciprocal Faculty Borrowing Program

The Reciprocal Faculty Borrowing Program developed by the Research Advisory Committee of OCLC grants faculty members of participating institutions borrowing privileges* and on-site access to the collections of other academic research libraries.

List of OCLC Reciprocal Borrowing partners

Access details:

  • Brandeis University faculty must register for an OCLC Reciprocal Faculty Borrowing card before visiting another library at the Information and Borrowing Desk at the Main Library.
  • Faculty members visiting from participating institutions must register for a borrowing card at their home institution.
  • If a professor is interested in visiting and borrowing from another institution it is highly recommended that our library contacts the other library before the visit to give them a heads up. That also helps us find out if there might be issues with restricted materials or licensing etc.

*Exact policies vary from library to library. It is very important to check before visiting.
