How will I know when my article or book chapter is available?

You will receive an email notification when the article or book chapter is ready, they are delivered electronically as PDFs to your Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery account. The files can be viewed under Electronically Received Articles/Book Chapters.

You have 30 days to view or download articles or book chapters before they are automatically deleted from the system.

What can we get?

You can request scans (PDF copies) of individual articles or book chapters, from books, journals, conference proceedings, theses, dissertations, reports, newspapers, or microfilm held in the Brandeis Libraries.

What can’t we get?
We cannot scan an entire book, or an article or chapter that exceeds 50 scanned pages, or an amount that exceeds copyright Fair Use.
We cannot guarantee to process more than 5 requests per day per patron, due to the large number of requests we receive.
Library materials in Archives and Special Collections, that are currently on reserve, items that are checked out to you or that are on hold for you, are not eligible for this service.

How do I submit a request?

Requests may be made directly through your Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery account or through a number of our databases. The more information you can give us about the item you need, the easier it is for us to find it and the quicker we will be able to get it for you.
