Welcome to the Archives Online Learning Module!

Welcome to the Robert D. Farber University Archives & Special Collections

Use the left-hand menu to follow along with this introductory module to learn more about archives and archival materials.  The module contains:

  • A diagnostic pre-assessment writing activity,
  • A short video about the differences between archives and libraries with a companion information sheet
  • A post-assessment writing activity
  • Related guides for reference

This module is meant for anyone who would like to learn more about archives, whether you are a history major or a chemistry major, an incoming student or a graduate student getting ready to learn about using archives for your research!

My name is Chloe Gerson, and I am the Reference & Instruction Archivist at Brandeis University.  My door is always open, and I am happy to help with assignments, plan class sessions, and answer any questions you might have about archives in general or the holdings right here at Brandeis University.
