Data Rescue Project

The Data Rescue Project is a collaborative initiative involving several data-focused organizations, such as IASSIST, RDAP, and members of the Data Curation Network. Its mission is to act as a central hub for activities related to rescuing and accessing at-risk public data from U.S. government sources. 

Finding Archived Government Data

End of Term Web Archive. It captures and saves U.S. Government websites at the end of presidential administrations. 

IPUMS (Integrated Public Use Microdata Series) is a project that provides free, harmonized datasets from U.S. and international censuses, surveys, and administrative records.

Internet Archive (Wayback Machine) is an archive of web pages. Enter a URL to view past versions of a website, even if it no longer exists.

Data.gov Archive from Harvard. It includes datasets harvested during 2024 and 2025.

Harvard Law School Library's Source Cooperative Archive of Data.gov. This is a regularly updated mirror of all data files linked from data.gov.

DataLumos is an ICPSR archive for valuable government data resources.
