AidData
Financial and geospatial data, charting investments in sustainable development around the globe. Use the data dashboard to visualize data from their core dataset, or download one of their versioned datasets on international aid topics.

Other data dashboards include Financing the SDGs, which visualizes aid flow estimates to finance individual Sustainable Development Goals, and GeoQuery, which integrates satellite, conflict, aid, economic, health and more subnational data, from anywhere in the world, into a single simple-to-use file compatible with Excel, STATA, or your own favorite program.

AidData is a project of the Global Research Institute at the College of William and Mary (VA, USA), which also produces policy reports and working papers from this data.
CIA World Factbook
The U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) maintains this public guide to information on the "history, people, government, economy, geography, communications, transportation, military, and transnational issues for 267 world entities."
DataBank | World Bank
DataBank is an analysis and visualisation tool that contains collections of time series data on a variety of topics, including the World Development Indicators; health, nutrition, and population statistics; and education statistics.
Gapminder Tools
Generate visualizations for global development data. Gapminder is a nonpartisan "fact tank" based in Sweden.
Global Health Data Exchange (GHDx) | IHME
"The world’s most comprehensive catalog of surveys, censuses, vital statistics, and other health-related data." Hosted by IHME at the University of Washington.
Global Health Observatory (GHO) Data | WHO
GHO is a gateway to statistics for WHO member nations. Find country statistics as well as overall monitoring of progress towards health-related Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Human Development Data | UNDP
Statistics on international development, including gender, health, and poverty, from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Includes country profiles.
Humanitarian Data Exchange (HDX)
An open platform for sharing humanitarian data across crises and organizations. Managed by the Centre for Humanitarian Data at OCHA, part of the United Nations Secretariat.
Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME)
Country profiles, research reports, and data visualizations from an independent global health research center at the University of Washington. IHME also hosts the Global Health Data Exchange (GHDx).
Integrated Public Use Microdata Series (IPUMS)
IPUMS provides census and survey data from around the world integrated across time and space. IPUMS integration and documentation makes it easy to study change, conduct comparative research, merge information across data types, and analyze individuals within family and community context. Data and services available free of charge.
International Monetary Fund (IMF) Data
IMF makes a variety of databases and reports available on their website, including the World Economic Outlook (WEO) database, International Financial Statistics (IFS), and Direction of Trade Statistics (DOTS). Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR)
ICPSR is the world's largest collection of digital social science data. Find qualitative and quantitative datasets, accompanying codebooks, publication lists and more. Formats include SPSS, Stata and Excel.

OECD iLibrary
Books, papers, and statistics from the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). Published factbooks bring together essential statistics by theme; other statistical data can be manipulated as tables or charts within iLibrary and downloaded.
Statista
Provides current statistical data and comparisons for a wide-ranging and continually updated array of topics, using both publicly accessible and proprietary sources. The chief types of data are related to marketing, demographics, and government information. Sources include market forecasts, dossiers, and industry reports.
World Bank e-Library
Complete collection of World Bank publications since the 1990s. World Development Indicators data is available in easy-to-display tables with customizable time series.

Community Analyst Online
Online mapping tool that includes global data and reports for more than 135 countries. Data sets range from population and households to healthcare spending and crime rates. Access recent demographics about total population, family size, household income, unemployment, and more.
