Brandeis Library provides free access to a number of online mapping tools for current Brandeis community members. Most of these tools are designed for people who are new to creating maps and using geographic information systems (GIS).
ArcGIS StoryMaps is an online digital storytelling platform. The ArcGIS StoryMaps builder can be used to build a custom digital storytelling project that integrates interactive maps, audiovisual material, text, and more. StoryMaps can be used on its own or with content created in ArcGIS Online.
Create maps and reports to illustrate, analyze, and understand demography and social change. Data sets include the US Census from 1790-2010, the American Community Survey, the Religious Congregations and Membership Survey, carbon emissions data from the Vulcan Project, and more.
