Move from LATTE to Moodle 4

Beginning with the Fall 2024 semester, Brandeis will move from LATTE to Moodle 4. Please visit our Moodle 4 documentation. LATTE courses will be available through Fall 2024.

Adding Learning Materials to a LATTE page

Learning objective: Add files and links for readings, films and other learning materials.  

 

Training materials:

  1. Upload readings and documents

  3. How to incorporate copyrighted video content from library-owned media into a LATTE course (LATTE Videos Block) 
  4. Add a link to a video found on a public website into a LATTE course (URL resource)
  5. Share large files in LATTE (A recently configured limit to the size of documents and files that can be uploaded into LATTE prevents uploads of files that are more than 20MB in size. Learn about other ways to share large files)

Create a Discussion Forum on LATTE

Learning objective: Add discussion forums to a LATTE course as a way to get students to collaborate with their instructor and other students in the course based on the course content.

Set up quizzes and assignment activities to assess student learning

Learning objective: The creation of quizzes and assignments are needed in order to see if students have mastered the content in a particular area of the course.

  1. Set up quizzes to evaluate student learning
  2. Create an assignment activity that allows students an easy way to upload and submit a file or files for grading.

Learning objective: Set up the LATTE Gradebook so it meets the needs of the course grading and weighting structure.
