  • Digital Scholarship Lab (Goldfarb Mezzanine)
  • Farber 101 Computer Classroom (First floor)

Digital Scholarship Lab

Brandeis Library offers training sessions for current Brandeis students, faculty, and staff who are interested in using our library's Digital Scholarship Lab. Remote access is also available.

Purpose of the Digital Scholarship Lab: “This lab is for projects that require more computational work: crunching data sets, rendering complex geometries, creating virtual experiences, or coding that requires larger displays - with tools such as MatLab, GIS, 3D scanning and 3D rendering, unity, unreal engine, and other data analysis, coding, or simulation software.” NOTE: This lab requires an academic justification to use.

Sign-up for an upcoming Digital Scholarship Lab training or contact our MakerLab staff if you would like access to our Digital Scholarship Lab.

ArcGIS Pro and Amazon AppStream

Current Brandeis students, faculty, and staff can access ArcGIS Pro via Amazon AppStream. This is the recommended method for any Mac user or individual who can't install ArcGIS Pro on their personal computer. If you need access to ArcGIS Pro for your coursework or research, you can contact our Clusters team (clusters@brandeis.edu) for an Amazon AppStream account.

Once you've been provisioned an AppStream account, you can sign into AppStream with your Brandeis credentials, then click the ArcGIS Pro icon to launch ArcGIS Pro.

The Amazon AppStream URL has been added as a Google Chrome bookmark on all of our library's public computers:
