E-Resources Help

Having trouble accessing an e-journal or database?

How do I access electronic resources on campus?

Links to our e-resources can be found on the Brandeis Library website.

Electronic resources may be accessed from on campus through the secure wireless connection (eduroam) or through a wired connection.

How do I access electronic resources from off-campus?

Electronic resources can be accessed from off-campus by using any of the links to our e-resources on the Library website and when prompted, logging in with your Brandeis UNet account.

Please be advised that while traveling abroad, as well as to other university and college campuses, access to certain resources may be limited due to local firewall or network restrictions. However, if you experience an issue with a database, article, or e-journal, please contact us or email e-resources@brandeis.edu

Logging into library e-resources

Brandeis.edu accounts that many alumni use to log into email and other services, including access to online library resources, have been discontinued effective January 8, 2025. Starting June 2024, alumni can log into alumni-licensed online library resources using their My Brandeis Gateway account. All Brandeis community members will see a new login screen when accessing online library resources:

Brandeis Library Choose how to sign in login options screen

Select Current Brandeis students, faculty, staff, and researchers to login with Brandeis.edu credentials.

Select Brandeis Alumni to login with or create a My Brandeis Gateway account. For step-by-step My Brandeis Gateway registration instructions, please see Create a My Brandeis Gateway Account (pdf).

Alumni have access to licensed alumni resources listed on the Resources for Alumni page.

Questions or problems with your Brandeis.edu account or your My Brandeis Gateway account should be directed to mybrandeisgateway@brandeis.edu.

Alumni access to e-resources

I am a graduate of Brandeis University. May I use Brandeis e-resources?

The licensing arrangements offered by providers of e-resources restrict remote access to current students, faculty, and staff of Brandeis University.

On campus access to e-resources

You are welcome to visit the Brandeis Library in person to access most of our electronic resources on any of the public computer terminals in the Brandeis Library InfoCommons without needing to login.

Off-campus access to e-resources

Remote access access to e-resources is restricted to current Brandeis students, faculty, and staff with a Brandeis UNet account. Brandeis Library licenses a limited number of databases for alumni. Visit our Resources for Alumni guide for licensed and openly available resources.

Borrowing

All alumni can now borrow materials from Brandeis Library. Please see our Services for Alumni page for more information.

BOLLI Students

The licensing arrangements offered by providers of e-resources restrict remote access to current students (undergrad and graduate), faculty, and staff of Brandeis University.

If you are enrolled in a BOLLI program, you are welcome to visit the Brandeis Library in person to access our electronic resources on any of the public computer terminals in the Brandeis Library InfoCommons without needing to login.
