ArcGIS desktop software is designed to run in Windows. We recommend that Mac users use Amazon AppStream to access ArcGIS Pro. (Instructions for requesting an AppStream account are listed earlier on this page).
ArcGIS Pro is installed on the desktop PCs in the Goldfarb 230 classroom and the Digital Scholarship Lab (Goldfarb Library, Mezzanine Level). Goldfarb 230 is an open lab and is available for use whenever classes aren't scheduled in the room.
Brandeis Library's Digital Scholarship Lab provides in-person and remote access to current Brandeis community members. The Digital Scholarship Lab is intended for academic use only and users must attend a Digital Scholarship Lab training before gaining access to the lab.
ArcGIS Pro is also available on our library's Mac computers if you have an Amazon AppStream account (free to current Brandeis students / faculty / staff). We highly recommend requesting an AppStream account if you don't have a PC computer with the appropriate specs to run ArcGIS Pro.
Make sure you sign out of ArcGIS Pro once you are finished using the software to ensure that other users don't have accidental access to your ArcGIS account.
