ArcGIS Online

Files can be added to ArcGIS Online via the Content menu, Map Viewer, and Scene Viewer. We recommend adding files via the Content menu since it supports more file types and customization options than direct uploads into the Map or Scene Viewer. Files that are uploaded into the Content Menu (aka My Content) will be accessible afterward as layers in both the Map and Scene Viewer.

1. Sign into your Brandeis ArcGIS Online account.
2. Go to the Content Menu then click the New Item button.
   
    
3. The New Item pop-up window provides drag-and-drop file support and advanced file creation options, including the ability to create feature layers, applications, etc. Some of the advanced file options may require additional permissions or licenses on the site. Please contact our GIS Librarian if you experience any issues uploading files to Brandeis ArcGIS Online or encounter a permissions issue on the site.
