Contact the ITS Help Desk if you experience any installation issues.
Brandeis has two ArcGIS Online instances, an academic use site and an administrative use site. We use these sites to provision software licenses to Esri products. If you are using Esri software (e.g., ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, etc.) for administrative purposes, you'll need to contact our GIS Librarian to receive an email invite to our administrative use site. Once you receive an email invite, you'll be able to sign into our administrative use site using your Brandeis credentials. Your administrative use login will be what you use for all Esri products (e.g., ArcGIS Pro, StoryMaps, etc.), so you may need to sign back into ArcGIS Pro after you receive an administrative use account to ensure you're using the correct license.
Administrative uses of the software include: facilities management, field operations, campus safety, asset management, student recruitment, fundraising, emergency management, etc.
Issue
ArcGIS Pro software abruptly shuts down after completing multifactor authentication with Duo.
Solution
This is a known bug with Duo multifactor authentication and ArcGIS software. When you sign into ArcGIS Pro (or other Esri desktop software), you'll need to use the "Sign in using Browser" option instead of trying to sign into the software via the default pop-up window.
This help page from Eastern Washington University that shows where you can access the "Sign in using Browser" link. Once you use the "Sign in using Browser" sign-in method, the software will default to using the browser sign-in option and you shouldn't experience this bug again.
